Economy Inn

The hotel is located in a great spot. It only took us 10 minutes walking to the castle. Service was great, we arrived very late and they waited for us. Very nice people. Room was excelent, when we arrived it was very cold outside. However, our room was nice and warm. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Saint Agustin.

When I started looking for a place to stay for a few nights in St Augustine I came across this place... The Economy Inn. The price was very reasonable for a December visit ($121 a night with the tax and fees included 😱) and walking distance to the historic area. When I told my husband he was wondering what I had gotten us into BUT we were both pleasantly surprised! The front desk employee, Laura, was very pleasant and made several suggestions of what to see and do! When we entered our room, it had been remodeled and we could see the The Great Cross from our window. Laura told us that we lucked out because we had one of the largest rooms as well. St George Street was only a 10 minute walk and there was an ice cream shop and little antique and touristy stores nearby as well as a convenience

Booked for three nights to be in walking distance to the Nights of Lights. We are a family of 4. We had the bottom floor room 126... Two queen beds room. We could see the big cross from Nombre de Dios right from the room window. The room looked to be renovated recently. The beds were comfortable, the shower had good pressure and heated quickly, there was a microwave and a small refrigerator. We had the ice machine right outside our door. I was worried being by the road that we would hear the traffic at night, but it was very peaceful. We did run the fan of the air conditioner at night and that may have helped as well to block the outside sounds. We walked to the downtown area which was maybe a 10 minute walk to St George Street. For the price, can’t beat it. Although an older motel, room was clean and well maintained. Location to Old Town was about a 10 minute scenic walk. Had a friendly greeting and was provided a map of the location as well as information on inexpensive shuttles. Would definitely stay here again.
