Econo Lodge Petersburg - Fort Lee

Bit of a cricket problem and heck of a room problem but besides that I felt really welcomed at this place because of the staff which made this visit pretty tolerable. Be wary, the housekeeping lady is very comfortable with unlocking your door even when you tell her to go away, and it took a few days to remind her that we really don’t need her service, and I don’t recall being given a Do Not Disturb sign.

The room wasn’t clean. The t.v. Only stayed on one channel. There was plenty roaches. The sheets and cover had a lot of burn holes in them. I should get a refund or a free stay at another hotel.

The hotel isn't all bad, it's just that their site listed they had a pool and they do however it is out of order & doesn't appear to have been opened in many summers. The first day of our trip about 30 minutes in the paramedics were going upstairs for a call and one of the steps broke as they were going up. Front desk and housekeeping staff are awesome though.

This place is scary! My husband and I were nearly hit by a drive speeding through the parking lot, twice. It’s unkept and falling apart everywhere. We couldn’t bring ourselves to sleep or shower. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life and I’ve stayed in many, many hotels. Do not stay here!

I arrived pretty late, I had a reservation already… the place was looking a bit scary, but then I went to the customer service and the man was really friendly also fast service. Then I went to the room and it was really clean, I asked for a non smoking room and really doesn’t smell like smoke. I’m happy about it. Bathroom clean, towels neat and clean, super white. I’m impressed and super happy about it. No regrets!
