Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Heavenly Village Area

Great location within a 5 minute drive to the Heavenly Gondola. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was responsive to concerns. Room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Parking was easy . Right in front of the room for easy loading and unloading of bags. The daily breakfast was adequate. Wifi could have been faster, but was adequate.

First I have to say that the staff in the office were very helpful and accommodating, so this review is not about them. These rooms were horrible. We were able at least to be moved from the first room we were in to one slightly better. We came to Tahoe to attend a wedding. I made my reservation way back at the beginning of the year so I realize that they may not have been aware that there was going to be massive remodeling work being done. When I called to confirm my reservation a few days before arrival I should have been notified that this level of construction was going on. It was very inconvenient. Yellow tape everywhere, parking lot was a mess, lots of noise even Saturday and Sunday. The bathrooms were awful…showers leaked onto the floor.

Photos show decent traditional motel style accommodation but no mention of a grim grey annex where we had our 2 rooms. Adequate in terms of actual faculties. Clean bedding , hot water but awfully run down with chipped sink, unusable coffee machine which leaked and half used cheap toiletries . |Nice to have breakfast but day 1 - no fruit and tables not wiped despite the receptionist being present . Self serve with all plastic and cardboard containers. |Day 2 - No cereal at all as no bowls ? My husband found one , opened some cereal then in marched the receptionist and took everything away . Good fruit juice but coffee wasn’t drinkable . Today bowl of apples . |OK if you want absolutely basic budget but please warn folk of the grim annex . Think used by workers ? 2 enormous trucks set off

First of all the room had NO smoke alarms! 🚫 No where to hang or put any clothes, 1 towel for 4 people... And every time I went to ask for more towels there either wasn't anybody there or they had none to give. We had to bring our own table, mirror & chair from home. I still have no idea why my friend booked this place over the casinos that we were there for, especially when I was able to find the casinos for a lot cheaper than this place in 3 mins... But that aside this place did have breakfast which was cool. They could do with a few more food items but it was fine.

Clean, quiet, and affordable stay in South Lake Tahoe. The room was well kept, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the breakfast was decent and convenient before heading out. Great location—close to the ski resort and easy to get around. A solid value for the price.
