Eagle Cliff Lodge

Experience the Rockies without spending a lot. YMCA has many family activities on site but is just outside RMNP. Rooms at Eagle Cliff are basic - bed and a shower. We (family reunion of 25) brought a cooler for snacks and drinks, and board games and cards and reserved a meeting room where we all hung out between adventures. Meal plan at the cafeteria meant no one had to cook or clean.

They handed us a long list of daily scheduled activities when we checked in. The first day we showed up with our kids to several of the activities and none of them were actually going on. We asked someone about it and they acted like they didn't know what we were talking about... So we left 4 days early.

The YMCA of the rockies itself is great, but the rooms are not. this lodge is far away from most activities, no fridge in the room, no ice machine, bathroom is tiny, rooms are cramped and very very hot, they come with bars on the windows too, so putting a fan in the window becomes very difficult.

This is one of the lodging options available at the YMCA of the Rockies. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, reserve a cabin, as these lodges are always full of loud children on school trips. The walls are thin. However, you do get a private bathroom which is a good deal at the price.

These were decent rooms, the sheets and everything were quite clean, the room didn’t smell. It’s just the bed frame and whatnot that seemed a bit dirty. There is a playground right outside of the lodge so it was nice to bring our kids out before bed. Not luxurious so don’t expect that haha. We saw deer from our room too.
