DuPont Suites

This hotel almost had me in good standing until last night when I went to the bathroom and found small roaches which I stomped on. On top of that, there’s no elevator, so I had to carry all my luggage upstairs. The prices are fair, and the rooms are spacious, but the beds are a bit firm, and the AC unit only worked on “fan” mode no matter how low I set it. When I arrived, the remote batteries were dead, but guest services replaced them quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s not a bad stay if you’re just passing through, but I’d be cautious about leaving personal belongings out in the bathroom overnight.

Positive: Close to restaurants/interstate Negative: The room was not cool & had difficulty sleeping. The doors moved - i placed a table in front of it to keep it from moving back & forth. The towels were rough & very thin - stained.

We should have known what we were getting into when we had to wait for the clerk to come inside the building because he was talking on his cellphone. There were no luggage carts, no elevators, only stairs. The lobby is in effect on the 1.5 floor. Between the 1st and 2nd. 2nd floor. You need to use narrow stairways to access the "lobby" from any of the 3 floors of rooms. To "accommodate" handicapped customers, they are required to go back outside, walk/drive around the building and access the floor through a fire exit. These rooms are bottom of the barrel. My flight was cancelled and this is location the airline put me up for the night. The owner and his staff are absolutely amazing. They are friendly and helpful when it came to choosing a restaurant to eat at. The room was super clean and had a fridge and microwave for convenience. Thank you DuPont Suites for making my night easier!

Avoid!! I stayed here 7/18. I was awakened by something crawling on me. It was a bedbug. I notified the office and immediately left, they said they would reverse my charges and haven't. I emailed, still no refund. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels a year. This appears nice but is a 1 star hotel. Pay $80 more and stay somewhere else. The floors are torn up, the walls are thin, no elevator, lots of stairs, holes in curtains, odd ppl yelling in the halls. Run! (I took video & pics)
