Driftin Sands Motel

We stayed one night with our dog. The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. For the cost, it was fantastic. It’s great if you aren’t planning to spend a lot of time in your room.

We pulled into the parking lot and before and located the office. I pulled to closest parking spot. Man walks from other side of lot and starts loudly stating to park in front of my room. I told him I was checking in. He said something that was not English and turned towards office. In the office he called me by the name "Rick" several times. Each time I corrected him. I checked in and my wife and I went to the room. It was disgusting to say the least. The overwhelming odor in the room was too much to bare. I went to the office and asked for another room. After a long drawn out argument, we ended up leaving and receiving no refund. Will never consider this place again. Location was it's only advantage.

A convenient hole in the blinds that allowed direct contact with other guests at different areas of the building, was basically eyeball level with the top of the bed. Police were there late I guess due to some kind of disturbance. Overall it was clean but nothing special, cheap and effective.

The room was very tiny. The tiniest shower I have ever seen. Bathroom was very small all together. It was clean. It had no pool & no shower outside to at least get the sand off your feet. It had a really weird lock on the door & if you didn't put in the correct code after the third try you were locked out of your room altogether. I would definitely not stay here again.
