Cambridge Cove At Bermuda Bay

The property was not cleaned when we arrived! Called and they said they would send someone no one came. The area is beautiful but very dated property. Would like it more if when we arrived there were not blood stains, popcorn gum on couches and floor. Had to put a sheet over the couch to sit. Would not allow any of our kids it sit on the floor. Bathrooms were ok, one tub did not drain when you showered and you could tell they did not actually come and check the property there was a wasp nest, left over trash on the balcony and the dish washer was rusted and broken. Also don’t know if they ever cleaned or changed the vents as they were extremely dirty. Need to make updates and clean the property lawn and I could have changed my review. We stayed at Two Geese at Cambridge Cove. Beware there are 6 security cameras outside the house that are not disclosed on the listing. I called Kees to find out their policy about undisclosed cameras and was told they are permitted as long as the aren't directed towards a hot tub or pool. We felt very uncomfortable with the two cameras pointed towards the sliding glass doors that could see into the home. When I expressed my concerns to the Kees representative, I was told to "calm down" and my concerns were unreasonable. We did not use the outside patio or deck because we felt as though we were being watched the entire time. Also, there is no grill listed. Let me give you a little background on myself. I avoid walking on hotel carpets, I clean my house before the housekeeper comes so she can better do her job, I spend hours looking at reviews before making reservations for anything. I made my reservation for Cambridge Cove in April. It's our first trip to OBX so we weren't familiar with the area. I made the reservation over the phone with a wonderful young lady and the whole payment process was very smooth. I didn't give much more thought to it until a few days before leaving for vacation. We stayed at Good Vibes ,unit 1109. ||The picture on the website for this townhouse is about 5 years old and looks nothing like today. ||Where do I begin...||Upon walking up to the townhouse the door to the garage was so filthy you could write your name on it. ||Entering the townhouse it looked dirty. The carpet is in need of shampooing. When you walked on it your feet would be black on the bottom. So, you had to wear socks. ||Crumbs left on the kitchen counter, hair in the beds and on the "clean" towels. ||The unit was hot. We checked to vent and it was so dirty there was no way air could get through it. The only table out side was unusable. It was so rusted around the edges it was falling on the chairs. 3rd floor bathroom door would not shut. Our feet were black from walking barefoot inside. No customer service available at all . Took days to get a response from them . Had no clue where the pier was to use the code that was given to us because no one told us anything at all as far as where stuff was located . My kids found a condom wrapper laying in the garage where we parked our car . Holes all in the walls that had just been puttied and scraped over and never painted.
