TownePlace Suites by Marriott Outer Banks Kill Devil Hills

This hotel is nice, but the beds are not very comfortable, you could definitely feel springs and it was kinda hard. It is nice that our room had a small kitchenette and the shower was hot with good pressure. The breakfast was very basic and did not even have creamer for the coffee, only milk.

This was our second stay at this beautifully situated hotel. The team has made significant improvements since our first visit. The hallways are noticeably cleaner, and trash left out of the rooms is removed much more frequently, with bins being emptied more often. The hotel's location is perfect, and it has its own outdoor pool and beach access just across the street.

Great location across the street from the beach with the hotel having its own private access to the beach as well. Room was clean and nice to have the small kitchenette available. Morning free breakfast was satisfactory but nothing special. It is located within walking distance from Bob's Grill OBX, which is a great breakfast spot. The hotel's location is a convenient location as its right off the main highway. Theres some partially covered parking under the hotel itself as the building is elevated and has a wooden wheelchair ramp. One sliding door for the hotel entrance did keep getting stuck open while we were there and it was rainy/misty and windy so that may have been playing a factor. Positive: The heated indoor pool! The view from the third floor! The breakfast was different every morning! It was nice. The hotel and staff were really nice. Negative: The pool could have been a little bit warmer. But it was still very nice.

If this had been my first Marriott stay, it would have been my last! The location of the hotel was good, near the major roads for easy travel through OBX. Do not get fooled and pay extra for "ocean view" it is a joke. The furniture in the rooms are uncomfortable, the padding is worn and you are literally sitting on the frame. The bed caused so much back pain, I had to sleep on the loveseat, which meant sleeping on the above mentioned frame. (which was more comfortable than the bed) We did not get room service during our stay, this was a surprise to us when we returned to our room for it not to be cleaned. The breakfast was awful!
