DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in Madison. Overall, it was a decent stay, but it did not feel like a four star hotel. The room itself was clean and functional, but very standard. It felt comparable to a typical Holiday Inn or Hilton rather than a luxury property. There were no standout features in the room, and there was no complimentary breakfast, which I would expect at this level. The room was also fairly loud at times. I am not sure if it was a vent system or the refrigerator, but there was noticeable background noise that made it less comfortable. That said, the hotel does have a nice pool and a solid workout area, which were definite positives. The staff was also excellent, very polite, professional, and helpful throughout the stay. Plenty of food options in the area as well.

Traveling home trying to get ahead of a huge snowstorm the desk moved our reservation ahead a day early. We received confirmation and were relieved we could stop. On arrival in Madison, they settled us in, and introduced us to the neighbourhood. The hotel gives a great impression from the street, sits up like a non-chain neighbourhood boutique hotel might. We found this Double Tree well suited to traveling thru or stopping in Madison. The on site restaurant is a blessing, very good and customer focused as the Hotel. The desk person especially helpful and welcoming. There is a pleasant and good sized indoor pool. It is on a main street, but feels like a neighbourhood place. It sits on a transit corner with the main line into downtown and the Capitol area out front. I have added this Double

Nice room with king bed, large tv, desk and updated bathroom. I didn’t utilize any of the food options but they had a nice small selection of breakfast and snack items in lobby as well as a restaurant and Starbucks. Room service was also offered.

This hotel was amazing! The location was perfect for our family to access after the events we had planned this weekend! Close to food, gas and stores. The pool looked amazing! The checkin staff were nice and courteous as well. This will definitely be my family’s first choice when staying in Madison.

Our evening flight out of Madison was canceled after 6+ hours of delays due to a snow storm, leaving us with no other option than to find accommodations for the night nearby. We chose this on a whim and arrived in an understandably sour mood. This was the oasis we needed. The premises were clean and fairly impressive for the booking price. The attendant manning the front desk at ~1AM when we arrived was cheerful, courteous, and helpful. Our room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was good and had shockingly attentive servers. While we only stayed for a brief ~7 hours, my spouse and I were extremely pleased with our stay.
