DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Columbia, South Carolina

The staff was very helpful and polite. The location was perfect it was minutes away from our destination. The room definitely needs to be upgraded. The furniture was peeling and dresser was missing pieces of wood. For the price of the room it should be upgraded for sure! Shower pressure was amazing. Enjoyed my stay but definitely needs some renovations for the price of staying there.

I had an amazing stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia during my exams, and I can’t say enough about the incredible service I received. The front desk staff member, Kadesia, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect. She helped in more ways than most people would, and her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Nita from the restaurant staff was also wonderful — attentive, friendly, and made every interaction a pleasure. Honestly, the entire team was exceptional, from the managers to housekeeping. Everyone was so pleasant, welcoming, and genuinely cared about providing a great experience. I had an incredible stay and look forward to coming back. This is what true service looks like.

Arrived late with two teens and had dinner in the restaurant. Good salads. Nice staff. Friendly front desk staff. Room was outdated. Pillow dirty. Pubic hair on floor and tub. Molding of wall peeled off. Asked for extra towels - never came. Had to ask again 4 h later. Area not very safe. Would not stay here again.

Positive: The staff was incredible. I probably itneracted with three people and they were all incredible. Great attitude. Well trained. Very pleasant. Negative: I could not believe how run down the hotel was. This is a very old facility. I don't know that it was so much dirty as just worn out. Stains in carpet. Shower floor did not look inviting. The overall area where this hotel is located is not very good.

Let me preface the review by saying THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HILTON HOTEL STOP TRYING TO PASS IT OFF AS ONE. The bad: I stayed 2 nights here for Banzaicon 2026 and I found that the event was pretty understaffed for the small event, trash bins were full, complimentary water was running out everywhere, and the fact they charge $15 for a basic hotel breakfast is unacceptable. I did not receive housekeeping on the second day here, no towels changed, no sheets changed, trash was not emptied. Conrad Hilton would have this place overhauled and it is misleading to say this up to Hilton quality or a 4 star hotel. The area is sketchy but it is close to a lot of amenities. Lots of interstate traffic noise. I have stayed at much worse but this is the worst Hilton brand hotel I’ve stayed at and it’s not e
