DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Campbell - Pruneyard Plaza

As loyal Hilton Honors members, we almost exclusively trust the Hilton brand for our family travels. This stay was a bit of a mixed bag for me because while the "must-haves" were excellent, the overall experience missed that signature DoubleTree spark. The Pros: Our two-bedroom suite was impressively spacious and perfectly clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. For the price, the value of the room itself was great. The Cons: The property is showing its age. The AC unit seemed a bit worn, the windows weren't well-insulated against noise from above, and there were some odd maintenance "quirks"—like a bathroom door handle that didn't quite line up and random tile work. Highly satisfied. I came in for a concert at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga and while my stay was relatively short, I found the hotel to be delightful. Friendly staff, clean room (and hotel in general), and plenty of great eating establishments just around the corner. I found the area to be pleasant and quiet. |Bonus: If you like vinyl and CDs, literally across the street there is a totally cool record store that you are guaranteed to love.

The hotel locates in a quiet shopping plaza with lots of dining options, only 15 minutes to Santana Row and Westfield by taxi. The room is clean and spacious however the decor is a bit dated. We loved the warm welcome cookie and great customer service.

It is a decent motel with comfortable beds (most important), a decent breakfast and a a small but acceptably equipped gym (dumbbells go up to 70lbs). Surely it's due to its location, but the pricing of $300+ most nights is a joke for what it is. I would not stay here if the company didn't pay for it. I find the TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Jose Campbell to be the same exact thing (breakfast a bit worse), but for about half the price.

This is hard. The staff is absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. However, they are let down by hotel design and management decisions. My room was 3 doors down from the hotel restaurant which all noise funnels into the corridor. Then, outside my room are seating/socializing areas, and the walls and windows provide no insulation. It was LOUD. I included two videos, on around 10pm, another at 530 am which woke me up. The bed was comfortable, room was spacious and I had an exercise room which I utilized (the bike isn't great, but better than nothing). Then my upstairs neighbor must have been an elephant, as every step they took was incredibly loud as well. It's a good location, the staff are fantastic, especially the woman who was working the desk when I arrived, but I can't in good conscio
