Discovery Inn & Suites

The actual hotel was not bad as far as the rooms. I truly thought we would enjoy our stay but the front desk clerk as well as another staff member made it one of the worst experiences of our life. We had 2 rooms upstairs. We were all kind of hanging out in 1 room and got a tornado warning saying take shelter down stairs & at that point stuff was flying. Someone's car had even got hit with flying debris. It was about 10:25 at night so we called the front desk to ask if we could come down to the lobby because we had our children. When asking the front desk clerk about coming to the lobby the 1st thing she said was the lobby closes at 11 but we were like OK but its open now right. She then said yes so we took our kids down to the lobby. While there we got another tornado warning but within 15

this is our new spot. I do a ton of festivals up in Lafayette, so I visit often, and this was a gem we found. lots of space in the rooms, and comfy beds, and nice garden area where the pool used to be. walking distance from starbucks, a bakery, tcoons, Everyone who works here is happy and helpful.

Great little place for the price! The room and bed were clean, check-in was quick, and it was just what we needed for one night on our way from Colorado to Florida. No complaints — would stay again!

my family and I have stayed here for 25 plus years. We travel often and have never found owners, management , front desk , maintenance and housekeeping as friendly and sweet as here. They go out of their way for there customers! Rooms are always clean and if there is an issue it’s always taken care of promptly! It is a great location and is quiet at a fabulous rate! plenty of places to grab breakfast and dinner within walking distance. looking forward to many more years

Room was ok had spider on the bed and something didn’t work in the bathroom I immediately told then but they said they couldn’t switch my room and to take a bath
