Defuniak Motel

I like not being bothered by housekeeping. It I want to sleep in, no knocking. I'd rather wash my own linens any ways.There was not roaches anywhere in the motel. Someone brought bedbugs and the managers got right on taking care of the problem. It is half of what I was paying at another place. I'm very happy with this place.

I stayed here for over a year. It started out really good and I felt blessed to have found the place. The hotel manager would allow me to pay late when I was waiting on a check, and even let me use the housekeeping laundry a few times. Unfortunately, a few months after I moved in, I realized the manager is not a very pleasant individual. He would constantly badmouth guests. Then he got into the whole Qanon conspiracy and started talking all kinds of violence. On Jan 20th he turned off the water. They claimed it was a leak, but it was off for nearly 3 days. That was the last straw for me. Place is great for a short term stay, avoid the manager at all costs.

I was surprised at how nice the room was for the price. The whole place was inviting and so quaint! The manager Chandra was very helpful and seemed to honestly care about the guests. I will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

Its actually quaint and reminiscent of the fifties before I-10. They try but it's not the Hilton. There are no amenities at all. The beds are comfortable, they try to clean. I like it for a less expensive place to stay.

Staying here was like being home. The people there were nice and so helpful. They made me feel like family. Good price and was very understanding of my situation and worked with me.
