Deer Creek Motel

The location was nice, I enjoy the rustic look and the staff were friendly, however the room was completely awful, there was a bullet hole through the bathroom door, dead bugs on the A/C vent that blows through the room, black mold in the bathroom, the floors were sticky (think of a theatre), I was horrified and really considered sleeping in the car, at the desk it says NO REFUNDS in all caps on a sign, the cat was nice at the reception, there was supposed to be a pool here but it’s all a storage section now, when I left the motel I saw the housekeeping come to the rooms with sheets in a grocery shopping cart, I can’t make this up. We are very happy with our entire stay in room 312. The room was clean and bug free, out of the way from normal traffic and convenient enough for a little BBQ/chair set up near our door. The motel allowed our dogs and a couple weekly stays upon manager/owner approval. We appreciate this very much as I come to travel for business. All of their cleaning lady staff were very friendly and kind to help and supplied us with laundry/toiletries upon our request. The front desk lady was very accommodating during our stay and very firm to the rules of the property as she should be. We would definitely stay here again, thank you all for your kind hospitality during our stay. There is absolutely nothing bad I have to say about this motel. Look for us to come stay again. After reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised here. The exterior and lot was extremely clean and well maintained. We had a room for two nights. Very pleased with the room. Dated and a couple minor things could be repaired but nothing to complain about. Just fix the shower control in room 303. Next time in this area I will stay here again. Also friendly staff.

What a literal dump. Don’t let the newly paved parking lot fool you. The housekeepers in this dump are terrible. The only “cleaning” was a towel change & garbage emptied. I had to request for them to sweep. When I made reservations at this place I was told the only room available was a double. I said fine. A few hours later Missy or Misty called me back and says a King room has become available & I can check in anytime. Upon check in I was told no king rooms were available. The guy (I think his name was Kyle) starts complaining about the lack of communication with another employee. Very unprofessional. After given the key to the room, I went through the room. I really wanted to enjoy my stay. The woman who checked me in was super friendly and welcoming. The room initially looked okay. BUT... When I walked on the floor, I could feel it bounce or flex beneath my feet. The light above the sink and vanity did not work. The curtains did not cover the window enough to provide even a hint of privacy. Pity because I don't expect this from a place that accepts money from paying customers with the expectation of comfort and privacy.
