Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. Louis/Westport Plaza

I gave it 3 stars because it was a quiet area. Other than that, it was not great at all. Dirty!!! Our room was not cleaned properly. There were roaches in the bathroom. When I woke up, my bed had a used bandaid in the sheets. The back exit door’s lock was busted. Anyone could walk in. We complained from day one and we were told, “it’s and old hotel.” Lol. I guess thats the excuse for being insanitary. If this is the whindam standard, then i am not doing this anymore.

Positive: Price met my budget as a retired senior citizen Negative: Hotel appeared not to be maintained over the years; replaced carpeting in hallways could enhance the appearance. Bathroom sink plumbing was an issue as drainage was slow.

This place was absolutely nothing like the photos on Expedia. The pictures are completely misleading and feel borderline fake. What we walked into looked worn down, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained nothing like what we thought we paid for. The only positive thing I can say is that Jason at the front desk was very nice and polite, and none of this is his fault. Unfortunately, good customer service can’t fix a bad room. The condition of this place is unacceptable, and it feels like a total bait-and-switch. I would never stay here again and would strongly recommend others look elsewhere unless you enjoy being disappointed the moment you walk in.

Great stay, great staff. Reception clerk, Jigar, made up for slightly outdated rooms etc. Clean accommodation at budget price. Friendly staff. Don't know why only disgruntled guest leave bad reviews, place deserves some compliments when due. Breakfast , while it is carb loaded with zero protien options, does have a friendly staff running it and did have coffee, juices, waffles, bagels and cereal. They did have cream cheese though...which made the waffle really good. My room was clean, comfy big bed and bathroom sparkling with high pressure hot water. Would stay again.

Many times a stay in a hotel can be rated by the service of the staff. I read all the reviews on this Days Inn before I booked. I booked it, like many do, based on the lower price and breakfast included and location to st louis airport. It was a deal. Greeted by Jigar, the clerk in pm, is what set the tone for my 5 star review. Pleasant and efficient , Jigar was friendly and accommodated my request for ground floor. Yes, there is some less desirable guest staying there, but in today's homelessness world of people, many seek the lowest price shelter for a night. Harmless, but present.
