Days Inn by Wyndham Statesboro

We had a terrible experience staying at Days Inn with our family over the weekend. The first room we were given was in poor condition with unclean fridge that had mold inside. Most concerning , the room had cockroaches. One was even crawling on the back of the bed near pillow close to my daughter’s head, which was extremely disturbing. We immediately requested another room. They showed us only ONE additional room — that’s it. The second room was disgustingly unclean. The floor and side tables were sticky, and there was leftover food from a previous guest. The room had a bad odor, and the microwave was burnt inside. They mentioned this is what we have. We even suggested swapping the microwave with one from another room since it was already 11 PM and we hadn’t had dinner after traveling, Th

Where do I even start? I booked this last minute and quickly learned that everywhere around was sold out for the weekend I needed due to GSU event and big concert in town. Price seemed decent and Expedia had 5 out of 10 rating. I looked at the hotel pictures and saw it was a Wyndham property and booked. Upon arrival, I was taken back but remained optimistic. I had paid at booking and completed all the check-in registration before arrival so I anticipated showing my ID, paying the $50 deposit noted on registration, and getting the key. Instead I was given a total that wasn't what I paid or just the $50 refundable deposit. I questioned it and explained that I had already paid.
