Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Myers Springs Resort

I stayed at the Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Myers Spring Resort, and while the rooms were in great condition—almost like new—there were a few aspects of the stay that could have been better. At 4 a.m., we were unexpectedly disturbed by loud noise outside our motel room. Upon checking, it seemed to be the hotel handyman working nearby, which was a bit unsettling.The check-in process was straightforward but lacked some details. For instance, I had to find out the Wi-Fi code on my own. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi coverage was limited, with better reception near the lobby. Mobile reception was also a bit weak, which made the Wi-Fi situation more noticeable.The photos on the hotel’s website appeared to be from a time when everything was in better shape. Best mattress we slept on in all of Florida! Beautifully appointed room! Great value! Yummy eggs and cereal for breakfast. Simple, but just what we needed. Parking right by our room. Helpful front desk staff in person and through text messages. Small, clean pool. The mineral springs are not kept up, but I took a dip in them anyway.

A "countryside view" is offered at an additional charge - all the rooms have a parking lot view, some with the view of a fence. The staff pays no attention to reservation requests - being handicapped and unable to climb stairs, we were assigned an upstairs room!|Although the rooms are nicely remodeled, they forgot a few things - there is no place to hang clothes, no dresser or luggage stand. They put in a desk, but there is no power available for the light or a laptop / charger.|They have what could be a very nice outdoor area if maintained - the fountain was full of green slime, the spring pool has not been brushed or vacuumed in a long time and the tables are used as ashtrays.|We opted out of the breakfast as there was mold growing on the walls of the food area - I'm surprised the local

We were worried about booking due to reviews but don’t believe everything you read. Patience and understanding will get you a long way. The hotel is renovating post hurricane Ian, mineral springs smell like sulphur, and the staff was wonderful. HOT shower and a spacious room is what we needed after a week in Disney and that’s what we got. We were so impressed with the accommodations we are reviewing it on our first of 4 nights. Mattresses could be better, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Overall, a great little “resort stay” without the stress.

Location isn’t terrible, the hotel staff is nice and very helpful but the overall condition of the building and rooms itself is poor, it stinks, parking is a mess bc the parking lot is extremely tiny. No smart tv or streaming, stuck watching cable, no breakfast, bedding had clear stains on it, half of the wall outlets aren’t working. Like I said, staff and location are fine, but the building should be bulldozed.
