Cutty Sark Motel

We stayed 2 nights facing ocean. Great views. Nice walk up and down beach. Simple, clean, just great easy going. Housekeeping did a great job too. No microwave if you thought most places have them but fridge and K-cup machine.

Debbie provided a welcome at the front desk upon my arrival on September 26, I confirmed a six day stay at this motel, the only motel ON Long Sands Beach!!! There are many others, of course, right across the road from the Long Sands Beach (which is 1.5 miles long).|The weather was spectacular, and I was able to sleep with the windows open, hearing the constant soothing sound of the ocean water making waves. |At the Cutty Sark, there is a great grassy yard area with chairs and tables as well as lounge chairs. and all of the rooms have spectacular ocean view! What a terrific place to stay. I really enjoyed this motel.||Every single employee that I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and informative. Julia was fantastic! What a great, knowledgeable employee!||The room was clean, clean, clean. I am very fussy about room cleanliness when I travel. The staff that does the cleaning here does a really great job.||Some days on my vacation, I wanted to just chill, drink coffee, and read a book near the water's edge. Some days, I wanted to spend the entire afternoon walking the beach. Some days, I wanted to go off and explore the area/nature, do local shopping, visit local bookstores, and do other fun activities. Cutty Sark was in a perfect location overlooking the beach and ocean! Short drives or walks to restaurants and sights. Found delicious lobster dinners! Our room was on the first floor with easy access for parking, luggage and a door leading to the outside area with chairs overlooking the ocean. Great for older adults! We had gorgeous weather so we were out there a lot! Our room was nice and we were well taken care of with the staff cleaning and meeting our needs. We loved our towel animals that were created daily by Oliver! Our room was in the older section but nicely maintained! Quiet and comfortable setting! If we ever return to Maine we will definitely look at Cutty Sark again!

The Cutty Sark is family owned quaint motel directly on York beach where all the rooms are ocean front. We had two king rooms the beds were very comfortable and upscale bedding. The rooms were spotless and well appointed with mini fridge, table, 2 chairs and coffee maker. The bathrooms were small, single sink and tub shower as most motels however they were clean with plenty of soft towels and soap and shampoo. The continental breakfast was outside with coffee, tea, homemade blueberry muffins, pumpkin bread & danish. I would stay there again. Please note there was not an elevator in the building we were in.
