Business takes me to Knoxville monthly, and I feel I've found my home away from home at the Cumberland House. The location--particularly for anyone visiting the University--is outstanding, and the hospitality is even better. This hotel has the rare blend of a size small enough to make the guest experience feel like that of a boutique hotel, but the brand affiliation with Hilton allows for access to amenities, quality, and service expected from a larger hotel brand. The hotel is clean and well-kept with very comfortable rooms. And though the hotel does not offer in-room dining (the one real drawback, in my opinion), the lobby bar and restaurant exceeds expectations with farm-to-table-style Southern specialties and delicious cocktails. It was a sincere pleasure to experience the accommodations. The establishment demonstrated a sophisticated and thoughtfully designed aesthetic. I found the rooms to be remarkably spacious and maintained with a high standard of cleanliness. The service quality was consistently excellent across all departments. I wish to particularly commend the valet attendant, Aiden, for providing truly outstanding service. Furthermore, Kyle, the bartender, crafted exceptional cocktails, significantly enhancing the bar experience. Aidan the valet was great with parking my truck in a safe place, I would always like to have a self park option but I know space is a issue at some places. The lobby was a grate vibe. Excellent water pressure in the shower. The bartender was nice and friendly.

He handled my vehicle with care and efficiency, and was always quick to assist with anything I needed. What really impressed me was his attention to detail and thoughtful demeanor—he anticipated needs before I even had to ask. Whether it was offering directions, helping with luggage, or simply making conversation, Aiden consistently went above and beyond. If you’re staying at Cumberland House, you’re in excellent hands with Aiden. He’s a true example of what great hospitality looks like. Highly recommend!

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you’re okay w/ subpar customer service! Checked-in at 11pm w/ Trey after a 6 hr. drive just to be placed in a room w/ a construction view that woke my husband, myself & our 8 yr. old at 5am!!! I understand they had no control over that matter but Trey failed to mention that very important detail, or bothered to offer us a different room. Not only that, we had no idea what time check-out was, breakfast times nor did he bother to offer any local recommendations. I voiced my concern with Patsy the next day about our check-in experience and she completely ignored what I said and did not make eye contact the entire time I was speaking to her.
