Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University by IHG

Booked my stay a week ahead of time. Our usual place, the Hyatt on Gay St was full so we decided to try the Crown Plaza. They had a cool feature where you could add some special items like having a charcuterie board and prosecco waiting in your room. We had dinner reservations at 5:15 and had requested it to be in our room at 4:15 which was agreed upon. It was not in our room when we arrived. With dinner so soon I assumed the request had gotten lost or something and that if I was charged we’d get it straightened out easily. But it DID show up ….at 5:05 as we were on our way out the door. I explained the situation, I was not angry about it being late, just asked if they could take it back and remove it from the bill. She apologized profusely which I appreciated and said yes she could take i

Positive: Location of this property is ideal for walking into downtown. On-site parking garage was nice to have, with in and out privileges. Most of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Negative: Could have used a few more towels, but nothing major!

Stayed for 2 nights -Beautiful clean rooms -Bathroom was nice, the counter top was just a little small -There is a scale in the room, which was so nice and so rare for hotel rooms! Loved seeing that. -Really nice and easy parking -Gift Shop in the hotel and a Restaurant -In walking distance to a lot of different shops and food options But the highlight of this hotel was their workout room. Seriously the best workout room I have seen in a hotel and even better then some real gyms! It seriously is amazing and has a TON of different equipment and even 2 stories. Just a really neat gym. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area. We will be staying again the next time we are here.

We recently enjoyed a single night stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Knoxville. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had lovely view across the street to Market Square, our destination for shopping, dinner and evening stroll among friendly locals and other visitors. Our service in the Crown Plaza Bar was excellent. The bar tender was pleasant, professional and full of great stories and anecdotes. We highly recommend the Crown Plaza Hotel and be sure to take in all the variety of cuisine and merchandise of Market Square while you’re there.

Great location!. Clean rooms. Parking on site is safe and secure with a short walk to the hotel lobby. Lots of great food and drink options within walking distance or just stay on site. Special recognition to JoAnn at the front desk who was a happy smiling welcome after a stressful long trip to get there. She was extremely nice and willing to provide recommendations if we wanted to venture out but also made sure we knew all of the amenities within the property!
