Crosby's Motor Inn

The hotel is now Home Inns and Suites. We are here temporarily from hurricane Ian damage. I saw the previous reviews butIam here to tell you that this hotel is nice now. There aren’t any roaches or bugs to kill in your room. The site says kitchenette available which is not exactly true but there is a microwave, mini fridge and dinette available in some rooms. It’s a great place to stay especially having such great employees and management. Lisa and Esmeralda are amazing people in the office! There is some hanging out from a few guest but it’s absolutely harmless, it’s simply coworkers or families that are temporarily staying and there is a picnic area that they utilize for cookouts and listening to music. Went here to visit a friend that was staying for the weekly rate. Room was pretty small, outdated, questionable linens and a smokey smell lingered on the carpet. It's the kind of place you expect to see a bug or two if you know what i mean, however, I did not see any in my short time there. No elevators, outdoor entrances to the rooms and outdoor staircases. It's two stories with the lobby in the front. There were groups of guys outside various rooms throughout the night drinking and yelling things I couldn't quite make out (and frankly didn't want to) as I walked past. I made a mental note not to return. The choice is yours, though!

After losing power during Hurricane Milton, I needed power for oxygen. I called and was told they had power. When I go to check in, they had no power and hadn't had any all day. The gal started my request for a refund, never telling me about "the rules" of refunds. I was just denied a refund because "my meeting wasn't canceled ".

The room was fresh and clean, with a mini fridge and microwave, nice size t.v., satellite dish internet, mostly local channels. Bathroom and shower was clean and recently renovated. Close to town Mt Dora downtown. Very little parking lot noise. Overall nice stay.

My car got dirty from debris off the roof (being remodeled). No internet, even though I called for help on my 1st night. Pool was closed, to be painted, I was told. Very clean rooms but no coffee or coffee at office. The cable was too spotty to even understand or follow a show. After checkout 2 days later still waiting on my 50 dollar deposit back. I now am told after calling it takes 5 to 7 business days to return. ......140 bucks a night. I'm sorry that is ridiculous.
