Buffalo Tram

A historical campground accessible by canoe only. Reservations must be made with the state park ahead of time. Great during the colder months of the year. The rest of the year it is extremely buggy and damp.

Visited this place on our canoeing trip. We stopped and ate our lunch at the little fire area. Cute camp ground all you need is a tent ❤️ also has a few hiking trails in the area as well.

The camp site is ok I guess to stop and get out of the kayak, but to camp there I would not. There is a firepit, a couple of benches and cleared area, that is it. No restroom. Needs reservation and probably payment. There is no firewood around, a lot of moscitoes and horse files. Areas all around are swamp - perfect breeding grounds. The river access is all mud. Very thick, not pleasand to swim in. Just camp in Ocala Nat Forest on a lake for free. Forget this place ))

A great remote campsite to camp at from the river. There is a fire pit, two bench's and a food safe. We took a couple kayaks and paddle boards from Wekiva State Park and had a great time. It's an easy paddle and would recommend. Only thing when we went it was over grown, and some trash was around.

This campsite looks really cool. It would be an accomplishment for me to overcome the anxiety of camping there. Gators. Snakes, Black bears. Snakes. Spiders. Gators. And the humidity. God bless anyone comfortable in this place. I'll continue to enjoy it from afar.
