Cromwell Harbor Motel

The motel is a bit pricey for what you get, but it is very nice, with spacious, clean rooms, and basic amenities. It is far enough away from the mayhem of downtown that you have some peace and quiet, but close enough to walk there in 5-10 minutes. The rooms are modest and a bit dated but large, comfortable and spotless, and the outside and grounds have been updated and are very attractive. I liked that outside every room on the walkway, there were chairs for watching the world go by. The towels were a little small, but I liked that they provided a separate, dark makeup washcloth. If you need more towels, it's easiest just to go get them yourself at the office. There are certain weird rules, like no seafood in the rooms, so don't take home any leftovers. This hotel was definitely one of the cleanest hotels that I have ever stayed in. I was a little nervous because it wasn’t a chain hotel and it dramatically exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and incredibly clean. The location was great. The closest restaurants were maybe a five minute walk and you could get to everything in Bar Har in about a fifteen minute walk. It was about a 5 minute drive to the Acadia Cadillac Mountain entrance. The location, property, and staff were all wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay here when we visited Bar Harbor ME. The rooms were lovely and very clean. The grounds were well kept and pretty. It was nice to sit on the balcony and have a nice view. We were in walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor. The friendly owner checked us in and gave us a list of restaurants she recommended. Very happy with our stay here and will book again next year!

We stayed at the Cromwell motel for 2 nights. The staff was very welcoming at checkin. The motel has plenty of parking and is a quick 10 minute drive to Acadia! The location is at the end of main so there are a few things within a 5 minute walk but most of the shops and restaurants are more like 10-15 minutes. The walk is basically flat so it wasn’t a problem for us. The room was very clean, large and had a private balcony. The AC worked great. It was nice to have a fridge in the room as well. If you’re looking for somewhere in walking distance to town, but away from the hustle and bustle this place is perfect for you! I would stay here again.

My now husband and I stayed here for our elopement and the room was spacious, well kept, and the location is absolutely perfect. Downtown is within walking distance, but the motel is tucked back enough that it is quiet and easy to come and go from. The owner was so sweet and we loved staying here for our elopement. We plan to stay again when we make it back to Bar Harbor!
