Cozy Inn

We had to find a place to stay because our original plans didn't work out and every hotel was booked. This place was affordable and horrible. The service from the front desk was professional, friendly, and great, the room we stayed in was "clean" and "ready". It was clean, but not CLEANED. We had to move the bed for my kids to sleep and what we saw was enough for a health inspector to come see it. Trash, dirt, dust, the carpet and chairs were outdated and soiled, the carpet was unclean, had per hair, my husband is allergic to dogs. The quilt had blood or red on it, we told the front desk and she brought a cleaner one. We showed her the floor and she was even disgusted. The carpet was nasty to walk on and the room smelled like meth.

There’s a pool and hot tub, a laundry room that actually works, and a continental breakfast that includes hard-boiled eggs left out on the honor system because apparently, trust still exists in certain corners of America. Rooms are cute, tidy, and clean with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The TV has cable with more channels than I could watch so a lot of choices. The view is wonderful as it has 2 mountain ranges to look at. The management team is amazing and Stevie Ray really goes out of his way to make sure that your stay is phenomenal he is the best hotel manager I’ve encountered. I would like to say thank you to Stevie Ray and the rest of the staff for such a memorable stay.

Truly a hidden gem, this sleepy little town holds one of the best motels I've ever rested in, the Cozy Inn! Privately owned, this motel focuses itself on comfort, with deep plush mattresses and the best pillows imaginable! We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were given the key to a spotless room with all the modern amenities: the little fridge ran cold, as did the A/C, and while the motel was full that night it was quiet as a mouse! My only complaint is that I couldn't say my thanks when we left, as there was a note declaring the staff was sleeping(it was only 6am, this is acceptable) Every visit to Cortez will include a stay at this lovely little motel!

I was traveling through Cortez for work and the most recent reviews here were 5 stars. When I got to the hotel room it was absolutely disgusting. From the left over pube left on the toilet, stains and smears on the lamp shade, and a nasty fridge that was plugged in and not even relatively cold, I will not be coming back here again nore will I EVER recommend anyone to stay here. Think twice and spend a bit extra before staying in this establishment
