We were shocked when we walked in the place. The house was cluttered and smelled. The kitchen was cluttered with things that don't belong in a kitchen, and the living space was a mess. Our room was ok and at least the sheets were clean; however, I could see the dust build up on the bookcase and furniture in the room. I was told we had a private bathroom, and I assumed it was an 'on suite'. I Guess I should have verified that; the bathroom was outside our bedroom - somewhat uncomfortable. It was also not very clean. I could see stuff on the countertop, which grossed me out. With all this mess we were charged a cleaning fee of $50. The house was cluttered and filthy (especially the bathroom) and the hostess was exceedingly rude and unreasonable in dealing with it. she made us feel very unwelcome and denied that there was human faeces on the rim of the toilet, even as we were standing over it pointing it out to her. eventually when she acknowledged it she said "well, you know what must have happened, i didn't see it when i was cleaning because the toilet seat was down". who cleans a toilet without raising the toilet seat???? the fact that she charged us $50 for a "cleaning fee" is nothing short of criminal. ultimately we left on the evening of our arrival, forgoing the money we'd already paid upfront for the sake of getting away from the horrible experience. we set off at 11PM at night without a plan, but were delight

The place is comfortable enough but it is NOT clean! There is mess everywhere in the common areas. Our room was dusty on all the furnishings. ||We stayed three nights and then returned 3 days later for one night. On our return, we got the same room and it still wasn't clean!! The bathroom we had was the same one and still had a poop stain on the edge of the seat that was there three days earlier on our first stay. There was also hair and dust all over the bathroom. ||We brought this up with the owner who then argued that 'cleaning doesn't cover just that' (what does cleaning mean then? $100 to change the sheets on the bed?) and that it was clean even when I showed her the dirt. I booked the large apartment when was listed as 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. When we showed up, the apartment is 1 bedroom and a futon. We called to inform them of our concerns and told me to "read between the line" because hotels are expensive and do I really want to pay that. I asked for a refund and they hung up on me. The company which I booked through also asked them to provide a refund because they falsely advertised, and they still said no. This place ran by Editha Greer is a scam.

Pros: Room modern and attached personal bathroom was nice touch Quiet. Secluded (assuming this is what you want) Good parking TV in room Comfortable bed Separate entrance to get to room -No one home when arrived, but was able to phone owner and find key Cons: Main living room area very messy *Not* B & B as promised (had a kitchen area it you bought your own food) *No* laundry available as advertised *No* computer available as advertised (did have WiFi) *No* printer available as advertised (forget printing boarding pass) Room not clean upon arrival. (We spent time cleaning it with Wet wipes) *Why a "cleaning fee"? When I asked owner about some of these advertised discrepancies - she informed me that "everyone keeps asking me about these. I have to change my listing information". -Duh
