Courtyard by Marriott Springfield Downtown

My family and I have been staying at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Springfield for over 10 years, and each visit continues to be a consistently positive experience. One of the features we appreciate most is the convenience of having dining and beverage options both within the hotel and within walking distance nearby. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, with beautiful views and reliable temperature control that helps make every stay relaxing, regardless of the season. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which truly enhances the overall experience. The food offerings are also very good and add to the convenience of staying here. Location is everything here. Downtown offers the market across the street and a brewery nearby in addition to some cool restaurants. For Witt grads in town, the walk to campus is easy. ||The hotel itself is just ok for the rate, especially if you’re paying homecoming weekend prices. It needs some cosmetic and HVAC updates. The staff are lovely and helpful - no complaints there. The bar was a nice place to gather in the evenings.

Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. King suite was comfortable and allowed family to visit. Negative: I'm concerned that the bar charged multiple members of our party for the same drinks. I know that I had drinks on my tab that were not mine, and I was told by others that they also had drinks on their tabs that were not theirs.

No free breakfast. :( Room was spacious with a great view, microwave and mini fridge available in room. Overall pretty quiet hotel, we was on the 3rd floor king room with sofa bed which both was comfy. Staff was very kind and outgoing. Pool was heated. Really don't have any complaints other than breakfast lol 🤣. There's plenty of options to choose from locally though to eat, even the Mela Lounge located in the hotel. (Which offer breakfast till 11am)

Front desk was nice and helpful. Rooms were nice but no microwave and the fridge was super small. No free breakfast which we did know based on website but the breakfast you pay for is like any other free hotel breakfast so not worth it. They also don’t have free coffee downstairs and since there are no microwaves if you want tea or something with hot water you have to get it from their “coffee bar”. Location is okay, right next to train tracks which we didn’t hear but there’s no fence so you could walk right on them. Paid more in the pet fee than we did the room which is just crazy. Again we did know the fee was $75 but after tax and the parking fee ($3) it was more than the room. It’s a good clean hotel but you can tell they are trying to be luxury but on a budget.
