Courtyard by Marriott Silver Spring Downtown

We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Silver Spring Downtown while attending a Farmers Conference in the downtown area, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect — everything downtown is within walking distance, which made it incredibly convenient for our conference events and nearby dining options. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. What truly stood out was the staff. Every interaction was professional, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel valued and ensured our stay was smooth and stress-free. If you're attending an event or conference in downtown Silver Spring, this is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again.

I am visiting with my daughter for educational trip. All the staff that I have met here are exceptional from the young man that was working at reception when we checked in yesterday afternoon ( wish I asked for his name), to the very helpful young lady, Kisha, who this morning went out of her way to make our stay and check out as convenient as possible. The hotel itself is well situated with a walkable bridge to the parking garage. There are plenty of restaurants all around so we have not needed our car since arrival. I am a Bonvoy member and have stayed at quite a few Courtyard hotels. This one is exactly what I would expect. Comfortable beds, Netflix etc. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Positive: The very cold a/c was the only thing that stood out to me. Negative: The constant use of keycards for elevators. The way you have to drive all the way to the 5th floor of the parking garage to enter the hotel. No free breakfast. Very small and basic.

This was my first time staying, but I definitely will come back if I am ever in the area again. The room was great (like you would expect from a Marriott Courtyard), but the biggest sell for me was the gym. You truly do not have to settle for an average hotel gym when staying here because you get access to Gold's Gym directly through the hotel. As something that is included with every stay it is an amazing benefit. I found myself using the gym frequently and I didn't have to change my normal routines because I found a piece of equipment that matched the muscle group I wanted to target. The location of the hotel is ideal as well (shopping, grocery stores, restaurants).

I travel a lot for work and this is one of the nicest Courtyards by Marriott I’ve ever been in. Jon who checked me in was so helpful. He ensured I was able to get my work printed and understood how to use the gym (it’s a Gold’s Gym… not hard to use but you do need to activate your key with the front desk first). He was also funny and you could tell he would be great to work with. The night manager Brandon made sure my supervisor (who was traveling with me) had a birthday card for her birthday which is in a few days. It’s the little touches and anticipating needs that go a long way. My room was modern, clean, and updated with a nice view. I had zero problems. It’s a fantastic location right next to Whole Foods. There’s also a ton of restaurants and the metro spot all within walking distance
