Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard

Rooms are fine although it’s really noisy as you can hear people conversing in the next room and hallway. Biggest problem is the overpowering perfume/air freshener they use. You are knocked down by it as soon as you enter the property and it assaults your senses. The smell might be fine in smaller doses but it’s just way too sweet and way, way too much. I also think that for a hotel with extremely limited dining/beverage service, offering coffee in the lobby would be a nice addition. $4 a cup without refills seems extreme. The staff is friendly though.

I enjoyed the quiet room, cozy bed, balcony and polite desk staff (Eric did a great job) and easy in/out access to the building. The decor is fresh in stately and calming blue/grays/creams. I will definitely visit again when visiting Destin. Highly recommended.

Loved that this was one of the updated Marriott locations. There is a coffee shop in the lobby, and there are also individual stations for people to work from as well. The location was perfect. Right next to a shopping center and a 10 min drive to Henderson Beach. The staff was kind as well. Slight con: I chose a room with a patio overlooking the pool, but I could have done without it.

Positive: I enjoyed my stay. The room was big and clean, the pool was nice, the lobby area is very clean. The staff was very nice!! Negative: Only 1 elevator that’s my only concern and it was hot on it.

Towels are like sandpaper and they prefer you reuse them. Absolutely no smoking area. Bed was arranged with no room on copilot side. Tv on the side of the bed. Elevator buttons taped over for open/ close, 2nd floor button was fickle.
