Courtyard by Marriott Madison East

We stayed for a hockey tournament (12U). The staff was accommodating in working with us to allow the kids to play within reason and use the conference room for knee hockey. This was huge for kids. The outdoor space allowed parents a place to congregate with music without inconvenience other guests. The lobby also had amply seating for socializing. Rooms were clean and spacious. Fridges are very small and no in room microwave (there is one in the lobby). We enjoyed our stay.

Courtyard Madison East was a delightful place for us during our recent trip to the Madison area. In fact, it has been the best spot we've stayed at in the past two months across multiple visits to Mad-Town! We really appreciated the location, which provided easy access to all major highways as well as being an easy couple of minutes away from multiple eateries in the "mall" area. The parking lot was well-lit, and we never felt concerned about the safety of our car.||While this trip did not allow us time, we did pass by the workout area and pool. Both were actively in use and appeared exceptionally well kept.||As were the public areas, our room was immaculate, from the air system filters to the carpet edges & corners, behind the furniture, and all areas in the bathroom. Overall, the hotel is very good. It has a pleasant, helpful staff, a nice lobby and a very nice hot tub and pool area. My room was nice and very clean but there was an odor that was really close to very old, very stale smoke smell. I got nose blind to it after a bit and I didn't bother to request a room change. I'm confident I would have been happily given a new room had I called the front desk. It doesn't provide a continental breakfast, but it does have a Starbucks but I was unimpressed with the coffee.

Old flat bed. Bits and pieces of black stuff in ice from ice machine 2nd floor. Didn't sleep well, bed was hard and not comfortable. Whirlpool was nice. Full length mirror is not in closet or on wall but behind the bathroom door. Not great for couples and very awkward to dress up for. I spent over $300 for the room including added breakfast. This is very below industry standard. I brought this to the attention of the staff but no actual efforts to make my stay better or compensate anything. Damage done, I ate the over priced room cost. I don't recommend room #230.....

Stayed for 7 weeks on and off for training . This is an older hotel. I only stay At Marriotts. This hotel was clean, food was good and the staff was extremely nice. Especially Rachel. She greeted us with a smile and was very personable. It was nice seeing the same face when checking in because being away from home is a bit much. All in all this hotel was great, clean sheets nice staff ect . I even used the business center during my stay. Would book again.
