Courtyard by Marriott Long Beach Airport

We’ve stayed at this property several times over the past few years. It’s in a great location if you need to be in this area with plentiful shopping and restaurants within walking distance. It’s a very average Courtyard Marriott with premium room rates I wouldn’t typically pay for this lower tier. I used to be able to justify it, but this stay changed that. The hotel only offers housekeeping every other night (likely a COVID holdover, now clearly a labor cost savings), which I find offensive when room rates just keep going up. Higher cost, less service. On top of that, our room wasn’t fully stocked with basics like bar soap upon arrival, which I had to go back down to retrieve from the front desk after checking in. Not a huge deal. But then, housekeeping came by our room at about 9

Positive: The hotel was clean and quiet. The thing I liked best was the service at the bistro. The girls there were really attentive and nice. Great French fries. They were hot and plentiful! Negative: The internet was bad. I asked for help with connecting and couldn't get it from anyone at the desk. I also asked for a wake up call and didn't get it.

We got a great deal at this Courtyard. We were happy with the price and the room. Our room was ready when promised and that means a lot to us.||The location is great if you are in the area, we often are.||The rooms are super clean and the maid service is great. All of the staff is great. You will want for nothing. ||The lobby and outdoor areas are so pretty and well maintained. It is very calming. It is never too loud.||They have all the amenities you might need.||We were really impressed with the room and the comfortable beds. We loved the spotless bathroom.||But our favorite part was the service. We needed a few extra towels etc. and they were sent up right away. ||I love the snack machine and getting ice is so easy.||All in all it was an excellent experience.

Location was great, next to the LBX for food within walking distance was great. The room was fine, there was a bathroom and beds and no discernible bugs or creatures. The deadbolt on the room was broken making the door hard to close. The elevator was quite slow (impairing our ability to get up and down from room reasonably quickly when we forgot something). Stair access was not easy to find and dumped outside rather than to lobby so no alternative to get upstairs. Half the members of our group got locked out in the morning (2 hours before checkout) and needed to get new keys - which took extra long because couldn’t get up/downstairs efficiently. The TV was aligned to the wrong room with another person’s name on it. The kids in our group were outside playing and were yelled at by the night

This continues to be my go to while in the area on business. Everyone was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There are several food options right next door. The only negative is that the WiFi in this area is miserable. Logging onto the hotel WiFi helps a bit. Overall, a good stay
