Courtyard by Marriott Frederick

The rooms were perfect. While I wish hotels would put in showers with moveable heads on a hose so you can actually properly rinse off it was a nicely appointed room. I loved the fitness center that it had a cable machine I could do my physical therapy exercises on.

The room was spacious, but not enough room for luggage. The bathroom was also spacious but slightly outdated. Room was very clean though and felt nice. Views are lacking. Staff were incredibly friendly and prompt with all requests as I have seen with other courtyard Marriott that I have been in recently. They do not offer a free breakfast, but do you have a bistro near the lobby. The food in the bistro is Subpar so recommend bringing your own or finding a different place to eat. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning will only go down to 65° at night though. My family and I like to sleep with it at 60°. With that being said we still felt like we slept well.

Positive: Recent interior renovations are very nice. All staff I encountered were extremely polite and friendly. Negative: Exterior work happening during my stay was unexpected. Showers are very narrow. I was in a room with a connecting door and could hear the guests in the adjoining room which was unsettling and disturbed my stay.

Location was close to restaurants however, if you didn’t want to go out you could enjoy the dining experience in the lobby area. The customer service was great, but the rooms based on my experience could be cleaned more thoroughly.

Overall good. Staff at the front desk is very friendly. Sometimes rooms aren’t well cleaned and I notice hair that isn’t mine in the bathroom. There was also an issue once with my showers water pressure (water wasn’t coming out of the shower head, only the shower faucet) which I reported to the front desk. They said maintenance would come to fix it. I was there for 4 nights and it was never fixed. Also once the cleaners accidentally threw out a paper bag of mine which had granola bars in it which I was planning to eat.
