Courtyard by Marriott Fort Myers at I-75 and Gulf Coast Town Center

This Courtyard is in a great location. Close to a ton of shops and restaurants all within a walking distance but probably wouldn’t recommend due to the high volume of traffic. The hotel is just ok. Truly wish they were more transparent on the app about the fact that they are renovating or under construction. Our room is the standard Courtyard Marriott room. Water pressure could be better, standard amenities minus lotion. Super good AC. Only real complaint is the bathroom door. It doesn’t close unless you push it really hard and slam it shut. Very odd and very annoying and probably why the place is under construction.

I would not recommend the Marriott Gulf Coast Town Center for a wedding room block. We booked our wedding block in December 2024 for a December 2025 wedding, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Communication was a major issue throughout the process. Steve Polche, the Director of Sales, was very difficult to work with and often took up to a week to respond to emails, even after multiple follow-ups. After the hotel went under new management over the summer, they did not honor our wedding block as expected, and several of our guests were unable to book rooms. On the day of the wedding, one of my guests informed me that the hotel was telling guests a shuttle would be leaving at 3:30pm. I was greeted by Mari at the Front Desk - what a way to start my trip! I have been a Marriott/Courtyard Client for 25 years both Domestic and internationally. Mari is the best Front Desk person I have ever encountered. She is what Marriott strives to be and should be a Corporate Trainer. Mari displays a genuine concern for her guests and the complete Guest experience. She described the facility and services available. She is extremely helpful and welcoming. The Hotel itself was clean and quiet except for the 4th of July Fireworks but that was to be expected. Clean bathrooms and bedding was also nice to experience.

I would rate my overall experience a 10/10. The building is clean and seems new (I don't know if it is). The decor is fresh and modern and not overly done. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here again if I was in the area. I chose this because it was near the highway and only 10 minutes away from a wedding venue I was attending. It ended up being perfect because there is a huge shopping plaza walking distance from the hotel with a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars. For a group of girls, we felt very safe in this area.

The customer care is exceptional. Katrina was awesome. She was attentive and fast with accommodating any issues I had. The rooms are not new, but the hotel is in the middle of renovations and the rooms are getting refreshed. I stayed on the 3rd floor I didn’t hear any construction and the bed was comfortable. Overall I would say most patrons will enjoy the stay.
