Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Beachwood

Mixed review on this hotel that just opened after a renovation. The beds were comfortable, the tv was nice and big, and the room was clean and quiet. ||The bad… the toilets were extremely low to the ground with no grab bars available. Potentially a huge problem. Refrigerator was minuscule and laid out weirdly so nothing fit. No toiletry amenities, just cheap soap. No shower cap provided, etc. BUT, good quality Kleenex. ||Overall, between a 3-4*, since the good outweighed the bad.

Our family stayed here 12-20 for the Chimaira Christmas show and found the hotel to be perfectly fine, check in was easy as was check out, the neighborhood seemed good with quite a bit of traffic earlier in the day around the hotel, the room was clean and found no issues with it, the view of the Porsche building was nice and it was good to have a Bob Evans across the street for breakfast we choose not to do the A La cart breakfast since one was not provided at a room cost of 150.40. All staff was polite and courteous.

Loved the location as we could easily walk (~.5 miles) to Pinecrest center where there were many food, shopping and exercise options. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. We were on the first floor which has a back door . That was convenient to access our vehicle but had I been a female alone I would not have liked it. There is a safety bar to lock the door but the actual door lock did not work. The gym looked nice although we did not use it. Not all Marriott gyms are created equal. The ice machine didn’t work on the first floor. One morning there was a line of us waiting for the food counter to open . After a bit of several of us waiting we were told the staff had to leave and would be back later. As they had an emergency. Putting a sign at the counter would have been helpful

The bed was firm and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and it made my family and I able to relax. The staff was very kind. The pool is fairly small, but it was fine for my 4 yr old. The air conditioning worked wonderfully and cooled the room off quickly. I was very pleased with this stay. It was a good value for a very nice hotel! We did not dine in the hotel, but the dining area was very clean!

Totally disappointed during this stay at a, supposedly, renovated hotel. My husband and I have stayed at this hotel for several years, always booking an " executive suite". After the "renovation", imagine my surprise when we arrived to our room to.. #1 it was an ADA room (which i specifically stated we do not want), #2 there was NO door handle on balcony sliding door!!! We told the front desk that day about the door handle, which they did look at that evening. Heard nothing the next day, reminded the front desk again on our way out to eat. Nothing! We stayed 4 nights, and they never contacted us about the issue!! Also, the ice machine on the floor didn't work (was same broken down machine since BEFORE the "renovation") so I had to go down a floor to get ice. Last thing, the "mini fridge" i
