Candlewood Suites Beachwood - Cleveland by IHG

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Malik (I believe that was his name), who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my entire stay. His excellent service alone would make me want to return to this hotel. Everything felt clean and brand new, and any concerns we had were addressed quickly and professionally. The location is also fantastic. We were visiting mainly to explore Cuyahoga Valley, which was only about 15 minutes away. There’s also a beautiful shopping center less than a minute away with several high-end stores. Some of the negative reviews seem to be related to the hotel remaining open during construction, but honestly, the noise level during our stay was not bad at all. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and Malik truly made our stay exceptional!

Not at all as advertised. We were supposed to have a king suite with full kitchen. The kitchen was completely empty. Not one thing was provided. No COFFEE pot. Empty cupboards, empty drawers. No coffee in the whole building. They said excuse our construction the lobby , but there was just an employee break room used for our check in.

Positive: Front desk people were very nice It was a quiet plz e yo relax. Negative: Yes. They didn?t have much of amenities. I paid for a doll kitchen usage It had nothing I had to go out to buy everything. Plus I was bump out of my original purchase that wasn?t pet friendly because I?m allergic. The room across had a pet.

Under huge renovation. Stayed here late September and then again on November 7th. There seemed to have made no progress. No front lobby, no gym, no coffee maker in the room or any utensils, plates, glasses, etc in the kitchenette that comes in your room. No safe, no grab bars, didn't like the layout of the room with the bathroom sink right next to the bed with no privacy or blockage of light for someone using the sink in the middle of the night. TV is hard to figure out as well as the shower which had no grip bars. Always stayed here because we had points and it was a convenient place to stay before a trip. If the need arises I would stay at the kimpton close by that's cost more points but much nicer.

July 19th, 2025. What a horrible property. We knew there was construction going on when we booked but didn't know that we'd be in the midst of it.||The middle of our hall had a curtain, as though construction was going on at the far end and this was supposed to be a barrier. A curtain, not plastic. Whatever contaminants were stirred up at that end were through the whole corridor. Nothing was sealed off. And first thing Sunday morning, work started in the room next to ours.||There was no apparent attempt to clean after the days work. The elevator and hall were filthy and strewn with construction materials. Rooms that had been gutted were open up and down the hall. There was no security so anyone could access the building and be in one of those rooms. There was a tooth flossing device laying
