Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Buena Park

We booked this hotel for Valentine's day as Medieval Times is just across the street, which is where we were having dinner. We got a 2 queen suite on the 2nd floor with a small balcony. Rooms were super super clean! We didn't hear any other guests during our stay. The beds were in a seperate room from the TV and couch, and it seemed like the walls in that room had been somewhat soundproofed. We couldn't even hear the TV in the other room! We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and easy to access. The elevator is in a weird spot to the back but that made it easier for us as we parked on the side. Parking pass is required or they'll tow you! Staff was super friendly, check-in was quick, pricing for holiday suite was very fair. We requested extra pillows and towels and were accommod

It's ok - clean, beds were average, air conditioner thermostat didn't work, employees were professional but not overly helpful. There is no 'restaurant', just a bar counter where an employee heats up food. Parking is $12, which is in small print on their website (I didn't see it before making a reservation). Lots of options in the area, we'll go elsewhere next time.

Positive: Location to and from some great sites. Negative: They only honored 1 of my 2 days of breakfast, which seemed odd considering the reservation illustrated free breakfast included.

Pros: The room and bathroom are clean. Cons: Parking is almost totally inadequate. Refrigerator is so tiny it's almost useless for more than maybe a box of leftovers. Not very cold either. NO MICROWAVE in the room! I have NEVER seen a hotel room without a microwave. Clerk told me they only come with suites. Infuriating trying to connect to wifi because it tries to get you to join their rewards system. I want to click "connect" and go. Internet is "meh", about 2/3 the average speed of most places I've stayed. TV has some kind of software so you can't add a FireTV stick. They make you go through the TV for streaming. I don't like to use hotel smart tv's. Twice when the service said I was logged out the TV kept my login info and I saw I had new viewers on my account, had to chang

I'm a little torn at how to rate this Courtyard by Marriott location. On one hand, my room was outdated and the elevators to the second floor (this location only has two floors) is not right by the lobby, but rather towards the middle of each hallway, so not very intuitive. The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here.
