Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Staten Island

I wish it was possible to give zero stars or even negative stars. Or erase my memory. This was a truly memorable experience, in the absolute worst of ways. We (my BF and I) booked a couple of days here for a work trip this past weekend. We went into this experience with the knowledge that yes, this is not the most expensive of hotels to reserve, however - it is also on par with a lot of other options that also did not look half bad. But as they say - looks can be deceiving. We arrived into town around noon so called the hotel to ask if early check in would be allowed - we were told yes! Just pay a $50 fee to do so. Sorry? We said no thanks - we will just wait. Not a huge deal I guess, just bizarre. Anyways, I decided to just get to the hotel regardless and just ask to leave our bags the

Cons: Our room was very small for a place that states “and suites”… you can barely maneuver in the room… but we made due. The room didn’t have trash cans and when we asked, they couldn’t give us any- just gave us trash bags. The bath tub poured out brownish dirty water. We stayed two nights and no one came to clean, do beds, change towels, etc. I know many hotels have moved into a “clean every other day” working schedule- but trash pick up, at minimum is a must daily. The fridge although worked well, it didn’t close well without shoving it to the right. There were several things that were good about the hotel- the staff were all friendly. The staff in the cellar did a great job preparing the items for eat each day’s breakfast and cleaning the eating area after each guest left their tabl

Worst hotel with the worst staff. We stayed here for two nights the rooms were filled with cigarette smoke. Beware the staff at the front desk are not properly trained . They miss use the credit card . The swiped my card twice and I am still struggling to get my deposit back . The lift did not work. No place to park. One full night we did not sleep. I have asked for a refund and they are trying to compensate us with points. We went here to celebrate my Birthday the whole day was spoilt . The other hotels in the neighbourhood are good. If I could give them negative stars I would do that.

My family came to this hotel for the week. We wanted to try this place and are glad we did. The environment is quiet and peaceful. The room was nice and clean on arrival. The staff members we interacted with were nice and friendly. Melody was a special butterfly, always smiling, fun and ready to help. I recommend checking Country Inn if you ever stop by Staten Island. You won’t regret it.

Positive: "" Negative: When we checked in he took my payment when I asked for a receipt he said I didn't need it. So when I got home I saw we wre overcharged for my 4 rooms it work a month to get a refund .
