Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Columbus, GA

I chose this Country Inn because it is less than 30 minutes from Callaway Gardens where I was going to do a bird survey the next day. This hotel is considerably nicer than anything in Pine Mountain. My room was neat, comfortable, reasonably priced, and convenient. The person who checked me in was very pleasant and even gave me good advice on the best ways to get to my room. (Usually I just get, "The elevator is that way.") I only have small complaint. Whoever cleaned the room didn't check the microwave and there was a partially eaten plate of food inside that looked like it had been there a while. And that microwave has some serious issues. I enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

The microwave in the room had a missing knob along with a different color knob on the microwave. The hot water didn’t work every day in the shower. The sink in the bathroom was stopped up and the treadmills in the gym did not work and it was two of them. not a good experience

Stopped here to sleep for the night on our way down to Florida. Very nice and clean. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast wasn't the best not much to choose from. Pool was outdoors and wasn't open yet for the season. Half the "pool closed" sign was missing. But that wasn't a problem for us as we were just stopping in to rest for the night. Affordable and would stay again.

The bed was hard, towels rough, remote was broken, the hotel was clearly in need of upgrades. We had to go to 3rd for ice because the 2nd floor ice maker was out of order. The temps kept the hotel feeling stuffy and although we controlled the rooms temp, the air conditioner was loud. The shower was bad too, faucet kept turning until finally hit a spot it would cut off and the water pressure was low making an otherwise quick shower longer trying to rinse. We won't be staying here again.

I have stayed here for the past 2 years when coming to Columbus for a tennis tournament at Cooper Creek tennis center. I like the location and the room is clean but there is distinctively bad smell every single time I open the door to my room. I can’t explain what it is, but it’s just a bad smell. Rooms need to be fumigated and sprayed with something to make them smell fresh.
