Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Athens, GA

As a professional truck driver, I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, but this one really stood out. Parking was a big plus — there was ample space for my semi-truck (without the trailer), which immediately took the stress out of my stop. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and professional, which made me feel welcome right away. The property itself is beautiful and well-kept, with an excellent breakfast in a relaxed setting. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — exactly what I needed to recharge after a long day. What I appreciated most was how smooth and stress-free the whole stay felt. 0/5 – Worst Hotel Experience & No Corporate Support My stay at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Athens, GA was terrible. The room was unacceptable; dirty, outdated, bathroom drain was clogged with hair, and had poor ventilation. I spent the night coughing and woke up with chest congestion. The beds and walls were dirty and damaged, and the cot my son slept on was stained with urine and food. When I asked for a room change, I was told they were “fully booked,” even though I noticed cleaned rooms were immediately available. I was also told there was no manager available and no way to contact management. I contacted Choice Hotels corporate customer service, and they were no help. They said only the hotel could issue a refund. Corporate called the hotel, and the front desk clerk refused —

Lobby and rooms were dated. Breakfast was appealing. Heat/ac unit vent was broke and dirty - covered with dust blowing into the room. Front desk lady at check in was super friendly- cookies were available only the first day when we came in and out. Overall- was decent but I’d look for somewhere else next time

Was in Athens, GA on business and brought my family along. We chose Country inn & Suites for the indoor pool and 3 star reviews. We paid a little over $200 per night and was expecting a nice clean hotel. Unfortunately we needed a new room after my wife discovered stained sheets and a poop hand print on the wall near the shower and toilet. They quickly gave us a new room with no hassle but I still had to quickly clean stains from the wall and door frame before my wife saw the room. It was late and I didn't know what else to do. Thankfully the second room had clean sheets (they did have holes in them) and no poo on the walls. It basically looked like house keeping had a list and did clean what was on it but never cleaned walls, furniture or air vents. The common area of the hotel also smell

the hotel needs basic cleaning. the bed linens are stained. The breakfast is pitiful. The door locks should have been repaired or replaced 3 years ago. The parking is cramped and not sufficient for the number of guests. But, you have casements on the beds, and the room smelled clean. Your hotel could be good, but it needs some updates.
