Comfort Suites

My stay was just okay. The trash had not been emptied since the last guest. It wasn't overflowing or stinky, so that was fine. The drapes were incredibly dusty. It looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in over a year. It definitely made me question what else wasn't properly cleaned. You could tell the girl at the front desk did not want to be there. I chose this hotel over others in the area because it had an indoor pool. We got all changed and went down there to swim and only then did we find out the pool was out of service. A sign at the front desk would have been nice. Overall, I'm glad I only had to stay here one night before moving on.

Finding clean accommodations in this area in the past has been a struggle. Decided to give Comfort Suites in Rome a try this trip since we had not stayed at this location before. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It definitely could use an exterior face-lift and resurfaced parking area. The common areas need to be refreshed as well but were clean regardless. The rooms themselves were so clean I was blown away, which takes a lot for someone with a background in boutique hotels! For anyone that travels in these times you know how you see reviews of clean rooms for a place but are constantly finding its far from truth. Not here. You get that you pay for. Got to my room and it had a weird smell. Then noticed there were like 10 lady bugs on the walls. Switched rooms and it didn’t smell and there were no bugs. No hassle calling front desk and switching. But the new room had a weird wine stain on the covers. Couldn’t do anything with the AC which was annoying. I couldn’t turn it off or down or turn on the heat. Kinda skeptical as to if they actually clean the sheets/ rooms. There’s literally bug traps in the room on the floors so that makes me think there’s a big bug problem. Front desk was very nice and pleasant.

This is my favorite place to stay ever!! Great hotel always neat and clean. The staff always goes out of their way to please you. The food and ladies that prepare it in the morning are the best. They have a new lady and she was a little nervous, but even then she was super polite and friendly. After a few mornings she was handling it all on her own and was doing it like a pro. The other lady has been there a while and said she has 20 plus years experience. All I can say is these ladies are awesome. And early mornings and people sometimes can be rough... but these two ladies will keep your guest happy. And the housekeeping staff is great.. clean rooms, clean everything. And the front desk people are great too. Have I mentioned that I love this place ❤️. Stay here... you will love it!!

The room was nice. The bedding was nice. The floors were very dirty. I would not dare walk barefoot on them. It appeared new tile was laid and never cleaned. I got toilet paper and wet it and cleaned. It was filthy. Also appeared to be old drops of blood. Photos attached. I spoke with front desk and told her she could look for herself and she Declined. I am a choice privileges member. Originally booked with quality inn. Looked at online rating. It was a 2. I called back and changed my reservation to comfort suites which suppose to have a 4.1 rating. Very disappointed. Expected cleanliness.
