Comfort Suites Ocean City West

I reserved a room with fireplace & jacuzzi tub. On arrival, I was given a room without a fireplace. Back down to the desk & was informed the fireplace broke over the weekend. (There was no fireplace in the room at all, so this seemed a little suspicious a tale.) The whole reason I booked here was for some rest & relaxation and cozy ambiance in the room in February. They did refund my payment and I was able to find a room elsewhere with a great bay view, balcony, and a shared hot tub and indoor pool. I ended up extending my stay there, so this place lost out on a lot more $ from me than they might have, had they just done it right. They should have told me before I arrived! The hot tub and fireplace room was so awesome. I know the hotel is old so I'm impressed with how well it's been maintained. The only negative is the old wore out carpet in the room, so I just wore my crocs. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas and the staff were great! Good coffee in the morning with flavored creamers is a super bonus!

Ms. Theresa was pleasant every morning. She kept the area consistently tidy and help each and every customer. The front desk staff were friendly. The tub wasn’t the cleanest and there was some loose wires near the a/c unit. Loved that the room was cool when we checked in.

I booked my stay through a third party site. They booked me a room that this hotel did not have available. I also got charged twice for the room. Talk about a disaster right? Well, Will at the front desk went above and beyond to help me settle the room and charge issues with the third party. He was super empathetic, he didnt make me feel like a hassel at all, he didnt rush me, he didnt sound annoyed, and he really put my frustrations at ease. Despite a rough start that wasnt even the hotels fault, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I hope his boss sees this review he deserves recognition for a job well done. You have an amazing employee.

I really liked the hotel. The bed was comfy and the room was large. The water in the sink and shower would not get warm/hot unless you let it run for a very long time and the water pressure in the shower wasn't great. I could understand if this happened during peak hours, but it seemed to be all the time. Also, parking was a challenge. The hotel staff told us that if we couldn't find a spot in the parking lot, we would need to park in the park and ride lot about a half mile away (this was at midnight after Ocean's Calling). She also said that it seemed like a lot of people brought extra vehicles and didn't notify the hotel. So guests that followed the rules have to park far away because nobody is monitoring parking.
