Comfort Suites New Bern near Cherry Point

A little dirty, but that's ok for my standard. The pool was great, even though it wasn't heated. I adjusted in 20 seconds. They had a washer and dryer that was super cheap and did the job too! The fitness center was just as good as the Marriott.There was construction work most of the night one night, but stopped after that. That is out of thier hands though. Other than the freeway, a funky chair, and pillow cases, I was happy with my stay. 9 out of 10. Customer service was good too.

Easy to get to downtown New Bern. There is construction in front of the hotel, so it was initially a bit difficult to find. Once you figured out where it was, though, it was easy to find. Initially seemed like the check in staff was a bit grump; we were checking to see if we could go ahead and check in early since we were there, but she couldn't do it. That was fine. We went back later and had no issues getting checked in. They've been remodeling, had signs up apologizing for any noise. We heard nothing. Lobby smelled good. Hallways were good. Room was clean, but the floors seemed a bit slick and the bathroom floor looked a bit wet most of the time and slick under shoes. The staff was EXCELLENT!!! The ladies at the front desk were attentive and pleasant. The breakfast kitchen lady is always nice and personable. Overall I will continue to stay here whenever I'm in town. Just can't wait until the construction is finished.

The hotel was quiet and clean. The room we stayed in had a loud refrigerator when the compressor was on. Also, the shower had a high-pitched whine. Some of the wallpaper outside the room was peeling. The door was also missing the metal blocker for the top latch to prevent damage to the door. Second floor, last room on the left.

This establishment presented several unexpected challenges. We observed an incident involving an employee and their spouse repeatedly sounding a car horn at the entrance. Upon entering our room, we discovered food debris on the floor. Furthermore, we were informed that the swimming pool was closed for an extended period, a detail that was not disclosed during the reservation process. These circumstances suggest a lack of transparency and attention to detail within the organization. In short, I advise that if you're coming to town, find a different hotel. Save time, just say no to Comfort Suites New Bern near Cherry Point.
