Comfort Suites Gainesville

I was very impressed with Comfort Suites Gainesville. The rooms were exceptionally clean, neat, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and a fresh, inviting feel. The pool area was clean and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. I especially appreciated how peaceful and quiet the hallways and common areas were, which made for a restful stay. Conveniently located right off I-35, it’s a great choice for travelers looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a calm atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff, housekeepers, and manager were all incredibly kind and welcoming. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted by two very friendly gentlemen who made us feel right at home. The pool and hot tub were amazing, and the rooms were incredible. This is the first hotel in the area I’ve stayed at that offers such a generous and high-quality breakfast. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Do not recommend. Serious cleanliness and safety issues. The room was clearly not properly cleaned. There was hair in the bed, dirty and rough towels, and a musty smell throughout the room. The bathroom lights did not work, and the in-room phone was broken, which is unacceptable from a safety standpoint. The elevator was unreliable and sketchy, with buttons that did not work correctly. Most concerning were the large sliding windows that opened fully with no fall protection or restrictors. This is a major safety concern in a hotel and shows a lack of basic safety standards. Overall, this property appears poorly maintained and neglected. Between the cleanliness issues, broken amenities, and safety concerns, I would not stay here again.

I’m honestly not sure where to begin with how painful and brutal this experience was. I was beyond shocked—and frankly disgusted—that the Comfort Suites brand would allow this hotel to remain in operation. It is painfully obvious that the owners take absolutely no pride in this property. After seeing the level of neglect and disrepair throughout the hotel, it’s hard to imagine how they can stand behind the front desk and pretend this condition is acceptable. This place has clearly been allowed to deteriorate and crumble. Are the owners truly in denial about how filthy and poorly maintained this hotel is? The hotel looks good from the outside and in the lobby area but after that, not so much. My room was dingy and very unappealing. The floor in the entry area was peeling, there were stains all over the carpet, some of the lights did not work, the tub spout is pulling away from the wall, there was no clock or hair dryer, and the safety latch on the door does not stop it from opening. I asked about the hair dryer at the front desk and the young lady did not seem too concerned and did not offer to get one for the room. At time for checkout this morning, I had to go outside to get the lady to come wait on me, once because my key stopped working before I could get me items out of my room and again to print my receipt. I like to stay in Comfort Suites when I travel but this location did not
