Comfort Inn & Suites Ventura Beach

Nice middle of the road accomodations - clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was right on the highway off ramp, but rooms faced away so rooms were quiet. Within walking distance to multiple food options - felt safe walking around. Parking lot seemed tiny but had enough parking each night.

Not sure why I thought this place was ok last time I stayed here. I suppose it's ok for a night if you're looking for low budget--though it's hardly budget at $200+ total for one night.||Check-in was a breeze. The staff were super friendly at all hours--they were the best part of my stay. The hotel has one noisy lift.||The hallway was very smelly--perfume, cleaning solution, whatever it was it didn't smell good. The room wasn't any better--quite smelly and stuffy--and very dimly lit. I'd booked one king bed on their website but was given a room with two queen beds. Whatever.||The room felt old and low budget. I stayed at Comfort Inn Ventura Beach from 2/26-3/1/26. I had hot water 1 of the 3 days that I was there. I was never contacted during my stay about this issue; in fact I overheard a conversation with another desk and a guest about it, which is the only way I knew officially that the entire property was without hot water. I was told I would be contacted with progress updates and I was not. I also have not heard anything from anyone regarding this issue since my stay. It is extremely disappointing. I took cold showers while I was there because it was my only option. The lack of customer service and communication was absolutely unacceptable. I expect to be contacted by the property management to provide some sort of resolution to this inconvenience.

Pros: Convenient location, hotel was clean, staff friendly. Breakfast was fine. Cons: At breakfast, paper cups individually wrapped in plastic, and plastic flatware were unfortunate. Compostable or paper are options elsewhere (the Hampton Inn). No hot water for tea...each morning, only lukewarm water. Maybe they need a new water canister/dispenser. The convenient location, while a pro, is also a con in that it's right next to the highway, which of course is loud, and next to fast food restaurants which have their own outside telecom system. That said, I'd likely stay here again.

The hotel is easy to get to right off the freeway. The staff is so amazing and helpful. The rooms were so clean. Its very secure with cameras everywhere and even in the parking lot so I was not worried about my car. I loved how friendly the staff is and they really have good information of the area. The bed was so comfy I didnt want to leave and explore.
