Comfort Inn & Suites Knoxville West

I'll start with the good clerk in the evening. Was very friendly and polite. The breakfast in the morning was what I would expect from a comfort inn sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy waffles and assorted other items. Hotel looks great from the outside inside is a different story. Small repairs are not kept up with as you would expect from a comfort inn. Lot of nicks on the furniture. Bathroom shower ran all night long. Room had a smell of cigarettes despite no smoking. I almost expect that all the time now. There was a huge physical disturbance in the hotel. A group of people were fighting right outside my door came out later to find several police cars in the parking lot. Just not what I expect as a choice hotel member with a price tag of $130 per night

We had booked three rooms. Two of them were fine. For the third room, we had to change it two times. The first one had a strong shabby smell. The second one had a strong cigarette smell. We settled on the third one. However, the room was full of bugs of all different sizes including cockroaches. We say at least 4-5 bugs through our one night stay. Highly disappointed.

While my husband and I have stayed 109 nights since December 2024 and have been regulars for years, the current state of this hotel is unacceptable. We would like to clarify that a previous positive review was made only because we were pressured to do so by the manager, Kumar, during check-in. In reality, the facility requires a complete overhaul. The property suffers from overpowering odors of mildew, raw sewage, and marijuana. The rooms are frequently dirty, with damp carpets and visible black mold in the bathrooms. One of the worst Comfort Inns I've stayed in. No, make that the worst. First room was reeking of pee and the lights between the bed didn't work. Rejected it! Second one was only slightly better... just smelled not as bad. At least it didn't smell like pee, but the comforter had stain (s) and a lamp fixture in the bathroom was broken. Will be having a chat with management. This facility needs some serious repair and refreshing. No more Comfort inns for me!
