Comfort Inn & Suites DeLand - near University

Friendly and responsive staff, breakast area well stocked and kept immaculate. Clean room, good bedding, refrig, microwave, and good TV service. It was a little cool to try the pool though it looked clear and inviting. Experienced key card problems and had to obtain front desk help a couple of times to access my room. Good accomodation at a reasonable price.

I loved how conveniently located the hotel was—especially with a Dunkin’ Donuts right next door! Daytona Beach was just a short 30-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy the coast. The room was clean, spacious, and had excellent air conditioning. I even had Chick-fil-A delivered right to my room via DoorDash, which was a nice treat. The outdoor pool was perfect for a relaxing swim, and lounging on the chaise chairs made it even better. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The staff was exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms were nicer than the photos showed online. The common areas of the hotel could use serious updating. The chairs in the breakfast area were worn to the point they can't be cleaned. I would also recommend better coffee because it tastes like pond water, but otherwise the breakfast was great and the food area was well maintained by the pleasant staff.

We are currently staying at this hotel, and on our very first night only a few hours after check in, our $4,000 trailer was stolen right out of the parking lot, along with a $300 tool box and about $1000 of tools locked in it. We were TOLD to park our trailer in the side lot, we were TOLD it was perfectly safe, we were TOLD there were cameras there..... a few hours later, the trailer was gone and guess what, NO CAMERAS IN THAT AREA, how convenient. Only horrible camera view was one that wasn't pointing in that lot, it was for another lot but picked up a small portion of the entrance to the hotel, on that video the only thing you could almost make out was there was a black truck that pulled out with a trailer, a completely useless video. Excellent Service and Great Deal! I love this location and have stayed her many times, since my daughter is a student at Stetson University here in DeLand. I want to give a SHOUT-OUT to Carmen (front desk) for being so friendly and pleasant and also efficient. I do appreciate good customer service and Carmen really make a difference today. So, I give her 5 Big Stars for representing this Hotel with Excellence!
