Comfort Inn Red Horse Frederick

Decent hotel overall, somewhere between good and very good (7.2/10). Stayed 2 nights in April. Room size was good for one person, but I imagine would feel cramped with multiple people. Good bed. Bathroom is a little on the small side, with limited bench space. Shower is very good, with good spray settings and water pressure. TV was good, and the channel selection was decent. Staff were ok, efficient but not overly welcoming. Breakfast was good (for context I'm satisfied with a bowl of cereal or some toast). Parking was adequate (it could be tight if the hotel is at capacity). I would stay again, as for the price paid ($66 total) it was very good value.

The location was a great halfway point between two locations for events we had planned for the weekend. Unfortunately that was the only positive about staying here. The carpet was really stained, theres not full mattress protectors on the beds, and after I asked the house keeper for fresh towels after a couple of days, she scoffed at me and told me there were no clean towels, nobody did the laundry. Another guest had the same interaction. I asked the next day if by any chance they had clean towels and got scoffed at again. Ms Mary who runs the breakfast is a really wonderful person though! She made this stay a little better. We thought we'd save some money with the holidays coming up but next time we will definitely pay the extra money to stay elsewhere.

Positive: The location was convenient Negative: The staff was 50/50. Ms Mary down at the breakfast was wonderful and a couple of the front desk people were very friendly.The housekeepers did not bring us clean towels the entire stay. When we asked for some, they told us there were none.

Hotel was a bit run down. The bed in room 406 is the absolute worst we have slept on in years. We could hear anything and everything from hallway and other rooms. Working 3rd shift and sleeping during day didn't happen. Almost got stuck in the elevator a couple times would recommend maintenance and heat in it as well.

Clean & Quiet. We arrived after reading some less than perfect reviews, so I was prepared to look for problems. There were none. Yes, the breakfast is served in the basement level. Clean, organized and yummy. The person working the breakfast room was pleasant and friendly.
