Comfort Inn Near UNT

Positive: It was near UNT Negative: It was dirty and the floor was sticky. The bathtub did not have a stopper. The tv did not work. We eneded up leaving a day early because it was so bad!

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. While the staff was very kind and attentive, the property itself felt outdated and not very clean. The hallways smelled like smoke, and our room had a strong mildew odor. The elevator was dirty, dusty, and had stains on the walls, along with a few missing buttons. We even considered leaving, but ultimately decided to stay since we felt we were getting what we paid for. However, the experience took a turn for the worse when we encountered a giant cockroach in the bathroom while getting ready for an event on Friday. That completely ruined the stay, especially after dealing with the other issues. Despite the great staff, we would not stay at this Comfort Inn again nor recommend this location to anyone. Perhaps other Comfort Inn proper

The location is near plenty of restaurants and shops, but due to ongoing construction and the hotel being on the opposite side of the overpass, the traffic makes it almost impossible to reach anything despite it being “close by.” On a positive note, Waffle House is within walking distance. Room was not very clean, previous guests left clothing in closet, sheets not clean on 1 of the beds. Floor was sticky and dirty in areas Front Desk not much help as they were full and he was too busy on his cell phone talking to even care or help. Took kids to pool area at 8a, dirty towels and trash everywhere. Pool was dirty and cloudy, hot tub had a foam just sitting on top no jets on. We did not swim. Dead bugs all on stairs, trash in elevator. Would not recommend.

I booked two rooms for two nights on a third party site. As a Front Desk Manager for a Choice Hotel in another city, I was hoping for a much better experience. At check in, the clerk working overnight was rude and not professional at all. He gave us no information about our stay, like where the rooms were, what time the breakfast was, or the pool hours. The lobby as well as the halls smell of black mold, and my room was not very clean. I found a fountain drink cup under the side table, nothing had been dusted in a while it looks like, and the paint was chipping off of the wall and ceiling. I didn't find any bed bugs though! I guess I will go and speak to the manager in the morning and let them know everything, because the night auditor didn't want to hear about it.
