Best Western Plus Denton Inn & Suites

Overall, this was a decent place to stay. It is listed as a Best Western Plus hotel. The food center was average to above average in food choices. The quality of the food was slightly above average. Our room was quiet and clean. We appreciated the climate control wall unit which actually worked. Our beds were fine and we slept well. Our bathroom was clean, spacious, and adequately stocked with towels and amenities. The problem was the TV and TV provider. There was an older plasma TV model in the room. The TV remote was challenging to work. The worse part of the whole TV setup was the Google TV. There was no guide. The CC did not work. Trying to find a channel (news, movie, show) was very trying. Positive: Very convenient location , shopping stores such as target and Walmart, in walking distance, lots of restaurant to choose from all around, access to freeway just quarter of a mile…hotel it self new and very clean , rooms are specious and comfortable Negative: No all good

Stayed 5 nights and had a very nice stay, but here is what left a bad taste in our mouth. After staying four nights with two rooms booked at a total price of $1185.00, we decided to stay two more nights. We went down twice to talk to two different ladies at the check-in desk, both times we were informed we had to book online with a new reservation to get their hotel price on their website or pay at the desk their higher walk-in price, as this is their policy. We have never had this happen before at other Best Westerns or multiple other chains. Because of the unacceptable policy at this hotel, we only stayed one more night instead of two. With a steady stream of customers off the close interstate, we both got the impression like they didn't care if a customer stayed extra nights or not.

The stay was great. The location was perfect for being near our destinations and also having several dining options within walking distance. The staff was friendly. Our group had four rooms and were able to get them close together. The breakfast was average, as expected with BW. The internet was the only disappointment; it was unreliable and wouldn't maintain a connection.

Quite nice in most respects, very nicely appointed rooms, very clean, pretty good hot breakfast. Finding TV channels on the nice big screen TV really sucked, no guide, you have to scroll through all the channels. I could not even find a football game to watch on Sunday, very frustrating. They need to have a hard copy channel guide in the room. Also, there is a sign that says take down your Do Not Disturb sign by 11am if you want your room cleaned, we took ours down at 830am. Our room was not cleaned at noon and it appeared that they were about done cleaning for the day so I found a maid and asked why our room was not being cleaned and she said because of the Do Not Disturb sign from early in the morning and she wouldn't clean our room, she would only give us clean towels.
