Coconut Malorie Resort Ocean City, Ascend Collection Hotel

This place is a dump. Carpets and furniture were stained and smelled bad. I requested a room change. The charged me a cleaning fee because we used the bathroom and used a towel until they changed our room. The new room flooded while taking a shower. We were moved to another room. The room we were moved into was under repair when we arrived. I had to mop the floors with a swiffer bacause it was dirty and had visible dirt and sand. I door dash a Swiffer and other cleaner.

Our first room the bed was squeaky and had dips in it then our shower started shaking and no water coming out then to add the tv was smaller than an average computer screen with the picture being even smaller. Hardly any channels worked just not a great experience. Then we switched rooms after the shower incident, bed, room was better but then no hot water for showers. Our overall experience wasn't very good and we wouldn't stay there again. We stay here years ago but was in someone's owned place (my guess) was very nice but in the two room we had and they charged us an extra 15 $ a day we won't ever stay there again.

Before I start, I am not blaming any of the staff especially the people who clean because they most likely get paid the worst out of everybody who works there, so I don’t blame them. This place is advertising itself as fancy when it’s not. As soon as you walk in, it’s beautiful. But the rooms are not as near that. The rooms floors are dirty, there’s mold, leak issues and we saw a mouse. We were offered a new room and the new room was even more dirty, the furniture was disgusting and looked “used” if you know what I mean. All they offered was a cover for it.. if you think a guest is going to need a cover for the couch, wouldn’t you put it on before the guest arrives? I wouldn’t come back especially to a place that’s advertising itself as fancy when it’s not even near that.

I will not come back to this place again even if I was paid to come back. The kitchen is way too small and very difficult to cook a hot meal. Also you can’t wash dishes or shower since the water pressure stink 1 minute it’s on then it goes off. I had maintenance in my room several times for the same issue the refrigerator was leaking water on the bottom shelf. Maintenance told me It was unfixable and that they didn’t have another to replace it. So each morning I had to get a towel and clean it up. After the third day they finally replaced it with a 25% small one. This new one didn’t kept the food cold at all. The bedroom needs more light fixtures or an over head light and a mirror. Also the carpet in the bedroom was wore out The bathroom is a good size but the tile floor and walls do need

This is a very mediocre hotel. The rooms are old and dilapidated. The sofa had holes in it and was dirty. The room needed a fresh coat of paint and a good thorough cleaning. The bedroom had dirty looking carpet that needed to be replaced with tile or vinyl plank so it could be cleaned properly. The refrigerator leaked. The personnel, especially the desk personnel (Erica and Brigette) were shining stars! They were accommodating and extremely nice. They need to work in a resort worthy of their skills!
