The Clocktower Inn is a pleasant hotel with a very charming style and a beautiful atrium. The customer service is excellent and everyone is friendly! This is an excellent location just a half mile walk to the beach and a tenth of a mile to the quaint little downtown Ventura area. The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathrooms are adequate but could use a little update. Some stains in and around tub w a few chipped and patched tiles and could use better lighting. Otherwise this hotel is great and I will stay again!

Perfect location for bike trails (Easily get to the coast and to Ojai via beautiful bike trails). Great service! (I requested a quieter room and they gave me one no problem). Nice hotel rooms for people like me that appreciate historical places and spanish style architecture. I loved the walk to the mission and old town. The beach is also a short walk. I will return.

Clocktower Inn located near downtown Ventura, California doesn’t try to impress — it simply does. From the moment I checked in, the staff were warm, steady, and genuinely welcoming. No theatrics, just real hospitality.||The room delivered exactly what I hoped for: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with a microwave, fridge, workable desk space, coffee maker with tea and coffee, ice bucket and glasses, toothpaste (asked the front desk person), a TV with over 100 channels, and plenty of storage/closet space.||The bathroom had these surprisingly pretty tiles that felt intentional rather than generic. It almost offset the showerhead sitting around 5′10″. A minor note in an otherwise well-considered room. The furniture wasn’t cheap or mismatched — it actually fit the building’s rust

Very nice stay at Clocktower Inn Ventura! Janet at front desk provided very warm hospitality and share best place to see sunset. I can feel friendship at this hotel everywhere. The balcony and fireplace in the room really bring a lot of fun stay there. Good memories in this hotel and in Ventura!

We enjoyed a very nice 5 days here. It’s true that there is paint peeling here and there and that there are some rusty hinges, etc., but we think the overall impression and feel is very charming and comfortable. The staff is wonderful, and they replace the towels and bed linen everyday (Marriot, where we usually stay, doesn’t do that). We had no complaints about the breakfast. We thought it was nice and very convenient. The location is absolutely ideal. We’ll definitely be coming back.
